As this incredible summer is coming to a close - I gift you the most legendary loot.. my video game dj set recorded live during last year's Develop Brighton Conference at the Good Game Dev Club / Loading Bar ❤️‍🔥

From Jet Set Radio, Pacman, Fantavision, Xenosaga Freaks, Deus Ex, to Serani Poji, Aqua, classic 90s house and phonk remixes of Angry Birds and Maxwell Cat - this is my current definition of a video game party🔥

This is hands down the MOST ambitious set I've ever put together as far as video game music realm goes. I went through many VGM mixes and soundtracks to find high-energy, danceable house music-like-tunes (which turned out way harder than I thought :D ... so 2000s PS games - thank you), selecting the perfect order in which to play the tracks and practicing transitions ❤️‍🔥

Being a Marathon inspired 1st person shooter - THIS was my opportunity to flex my profoundly 90s sci fi inspired action-beats shrouded in mystery, revelations and conspiracies ❤️‍🔥

I had an epic premise to work with - as a player you were put into stasis just before the departure of your generation ship on its maiden voyage to colonize a distant star system. Orbiting the empty planet, you must explore the ship, piece together what happened and escape with your life the only way you know how… 💥😼

Consisting of 4 episodes the story is deep, the gameplay is addictive and the soundtrack… well - I’ll let it speak for itself 😎🔥

P.S. - feeling nostalgic here too as the last time I had a chance to properly work on a fully sci fi soundtrack was when working on Space Wreck in 2022… has it really been 4 years since then 🤯
