After 3 years of development and an insane amount of hard work done by the developers, Amenti Studio is releasing their debut title today 'The Book of Aaru' ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Firstly, about the OST: if by any chance you're into Egyptian/Middle Eastern inspired themes, or games like Prince of Persia or Diablo - you're in for a treat. I've harvested all of that inspiration that those beloved series have bestowed upon me while growing up in the 2000s and put all of those inspirations across these 12 tracks I composed throughout this past winter.

Secondly, while feeling reminiscent, I've retraced the time when we first started chatting with Amenti team.. I saw very early versions of the game on one of the Facebook indie game groups around August of 2022 and contacted the developers sharing my enthusiasm, how much I resonated with the game's setting, how it reminded me of the beloved Diablo series and how incredible it would be to work on music for it..

Almost a year later I went to my very first game conference - Game Access in Brno, Czechia and Book of Aaru was showcased there with a demo version, that's where I met one of the lead developers in person for the first time, and another 1.5 years from there I was reached out to by the team that there was an opening in the audio department, and so the rest is history..

So it's not only a story of how I got to work on a kick ass Egyptian inspired OST which was a dream of mine for years, but also a story of how long-term relationships in the game industry can turn out.

Here's to hard work, persistence, Egypt, Egyptian inspired music and rogue-lite games in our life's 🥂🥂🥂

Throughout this past winter I have been working on the soundtrack for the new DLC of the Rise of the Golden Idol titled “The Lemurian Phoenix” that is officially out today 🔥🔥🔥

This game… will forever and ever have a very special part in my heart and it’s really tough to properly describe how extremely hyped I am for you to both check out this DLC and the soundtrack I cooked up for it.

Living here in London has greatly contributed to making this OST what it is (this city, English towns and the landscapes in the UK are all beyond inspiring!!) as well I’ve also been allowed a lot of creative freedom when working on this soundtrack, so I relished the opportunity to further push those boundaries I initially established when composing the music for the very first game and it’s 2 DLCs.

Really proud of the work here as well as can definitely say - I haven’t composed anything quite like this before.. not on this scale. This soundtrack and its level of darkness, epicness, mystery and emotion is a new milestone for me in all the ways… in a big sense working on it was a testament to myself of what’s the best I can do at this current phase of my life and career in the year of 2025 … check it out!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Slightly delayed, but Happy Lunar New Year!! 🧧🧧🧧🧧🐍🐍🐍🐍

Last February we have been visiting Toronto at this time, and while passing through Chinatown realised that there was actually a Lunar Year celebration - the year of the DRAGON! Getting super hyped hearing the drums and the music, seeing the festive decorations - we decided to see a concert in Toronto's Chinatown.

It was a small shopping mall, and the venue was really small, 5 sq meters at most, but we have been blown away by the beautiful performances and how much dedication and hard work was put in by the artists to truly immerse us in their traditions and culture. I could almost imagine that I wasn't there, but instead in some beautiful palace or a beautiful field somewhere deep within this far east country.. it was a truly special experience and we loved it ❤️ Wanting a souvenir, we actually got a stuffed animal of the dragon, later on calling him Michu as a reminder of that Saturday of February 10th :) Back then we decided that we would love to celebrate it from here onwards.

And so this year, we learned that Chinatown in London was hosting an entire parade to meet the New Year of the Snake, and as you might guess - we have planned to attend it many months before :D

Super happy to share these pictures with you, as they depict how this very special day in Chinese culture was celebrated in the city. Such an amazing parade, so many wonderful performances, such a mindblowing culture.. And yes, we now have a stuffed animal of the snake too :D 🐍 ^^

So hyped to see what this year has in store, and reading all the prophecies for the wood snake surely gets me super excited and hopeful 🔥🔥❤️❤️

P.S. - fun fact, but I actually studied Chinese for a year at university in Kiev between 2020-2021 :D (forgot most of it though 😅)
